Zepi’s Pizza was founded around 1964 by Marty Graham and Ken Hooper in Raytown, Missouri. They were soon off and running, opening their second location at 83rd and Wornall Road. In the late 1960’s, Marty and Ken parted ways, and Ken kept the Zepi’s Pizza and Pub at 83rd and Wornall. In the late 1970’s, Ken’s wife, Geraldine, sold Zepi’s Pizza and Pub to Tom Lillis.
Zepi’s Pizza was like no other. People still remember to this day when the pepperoni pizza completely covered with meat and cheese would stretch all the way across their plate! Tom Lillis opened multiple locations and was a pizza genius! Eventually Tom hung up his apron and closed his doors for good in the 1980’s to pursue his career in real estate. As time passed, people could not forget the great pizza and atmosphere that Zepi's provided to its patrons, especially the new Zepi's founders.
